We made our shop sample (pictured here) using our new Kaos Yarns held double throughout the project. Held together, these two strands are equivalent to a DK weight yarn. Therefore, we followed the instructions for the DK weight version of the pattern. We also subbed 2x2 ribbing for the brim, but it’s also lovely with the original 1x1 rib used in the original design. The finished hat is next-to-skin soft, very lightweight and incredibly warm!
These kits include enough yarn to make TWO HATS!! You’ll have enough yardage to make two identical hats OR you can change the order of the colors for two unique, but complementary hats! Trust us — your friends and loved ones will be begging you to make one for them!

Other materials needed, but not included in kit : US 4 (3.50mm) + US 6 (4.00mm) 16” circular needles, US 6 (4.00mm) DPNs for crown (if not using Magic Loop), tapestry needle
