Good Deeds Day

Good Deeds Day logo, text in various shades of red/purple/yellow/orange surrounded by a circle in yellow

April 11, 2021
A global day that unites people from 100 countries to do good deeds for the benefit of others and the planet. All over the world, hundreds of thousands choose to volunteer and help others, putting into practice the simple idea that every single person can do something good, be it large or small, to improve the lives of others and make a positive impact on the world.

Knit for Food Knit-a-thon

What's better than a Knit-a-thon? This time it's not for The Old Muddy River Bridge, though...it's for our community. Our people. Without community support, all of us would struggle. So, what can we do to help?

We joined Laura Nelkin in the effort to raise funds and awareness for food insecurity by knitting for 12 hours straight. (Laura was inspired by the infamous Gilmore Girls episode, "Knit, People, Knit!"...and with a shop named Stars Hollow Yarns, how could we resist?)

A fundraiser for Feeding America, World Central Kitchen, No Kid Hungry, and Meals on Wheels.

Total raised from the event: $265,810 from 5.2k Supporters
