Tweedy DK
252yds (230m) / 100g
Content:
50% Falkland Merino
37.5% Recycled wool
12.5% HHF thread waste
Comes in two colours: Tweedy and Tweedy Noir.
Tweed DK yarn and the coloured bits are HHF's own hand-dyed waste - the ties that are taken off the hand dyed skeins. HHF saves them very diligently and it's a total labour of love!
Perfect for sweaters and cardigans.
HHF have been collecting the ties for a while and finally found a mill that could process these, which meant re-carding them, blending and spinning into yarn again. HHF now blends their own waste with waste sent from lovely customers that HHF collects through their recycling initiative.
HHF is always looking for ways to be more environmentally friendly and to minimise waste. On top of thread waste, HHF are using recycled wool, making 50% of the total content recycled. We love the result! It's soft, yet wooly...not superwash, and blooms beautifully after washing.
Dyelots may vary though we represent every dyelot as accurately as possible in the product photos. Colours may vary from skein to skein, even within the same dyelot. If you buy more than one, we will do our best to match them up. Please ensure you buy enough to finish your project as future dyelots may vary. Please note, although we take great care in photographing our yarns, colours may vary slightly from monitor to monitor.
