Colors dyed using all natural indigo (Indigo, Teal, Sky Blue, Beetroot & Charcoal) may have some “rub off,” or crocking. Swans Island has done everything possible to minimize this, but some indigo may still rub off on your hands or needles as you knit. It is not harmful and will wash off. We recommend that you use metal needles, as indigo will stain wood or bamboo needles. We recommend gently rinsing your finished garment in cold water with a fiber cleaner such as Farmer's Daughter Fibers Wool Wash.
