Lovingly handcrafted in the mountains of Vermont.
Floops (Floppy + Loops) are a brilliant design of stitch markers and multipurpose mini-tools. They're the tools you never knew you needed but can't live without.
We currently offer the following sets:
Standard (small, medium, and large; fits through US15)
- Skinny (small & medium; fits through US9)
Each set contains 20 stitch markers in assorted bright rainbow colors. Use any size Floops stitch marker with any size needle you prefer. The idea is for both needles to fit comfortably into the marker for easy sliding. Here are some recommendations:
Small fits needle sizes through US4 (lace/fingering to sport weight)
- Medium fits needle sizes US5 through US9 (DK to heavy worsted)
- Knitting in the round? Use the orange marker to mark the beginning of a row.
- Need the marker to hang higher or lower? These markers hold their shape quite well so you can push them into a rounder, thicker shape or pinch them to be longer and leaner.
The idea for Floops was born out of mild to moderate frustration. Mass-produced stitch markers you find on the market today are hard and coarse. Handmade stitch markers are generally lovely but just as 'blunt' — and equally hard to maneuver. I dread coming across one in my knitting — and having to scramble clumsily over it. Soft lovely knitting, soft lovely knitting and then BANG — yuck — full stop — handfuls of plastic or metal.
They won't save the world but I think you'll enjoy using them — and looking at them!
