As seen on the Gilmore Girls Netflix revival, this super squishy, soft, double-knit hat and scarf set is a great way to stay warm on a cold Stars Hollow evening. But be careful leaving this lying around the house unattended, lest your mom adopt it into her winter wardrobe! You’ll need it to stay cozy on your journey to Luke’s Diner to meet your bestie. Sip your coffee while you knit and gossip about all the happenings around the square.

MC: 420yds (270yds for scarf; 150yds for hat)
CC: 420yds (270yds for scarf; 150yds for hat)
GAUGE
5 sts and 7 rows to 1in/(10cm) in Stockinette double knitting using #6 needle
Be sure to swatch in double knitting, because most people’s gauge is tighter in regular Stockinette stitch.
NEEDLES
US #4 (3.5mm) 16in/(40cm) circular needle for ribbing
US #6 (4mm) 16in/(40cm) circular needle for body of hat and scarf
Set of 5, 8in/(20cm) DPNs
Adjust needle size to obtain correct gauge.
NOTIONS
Darning needle
Stitch markers (locking or ring style)
