Illuminate (Rhinebeck sweater) Kit

Who's making a Rhinebeck sweater?

For our Illuminate pullover kits, we've chosen to include Spincycle Dyed in the Wool, and to swap out the mohair that Andrea used in her original design for our favorite new cashmere/silk blend from Lang Yarns... Cashmere Dreams (boy, does that name fit!). The pairing of these two different yarns offers a strong contrast and will create a luxurious, lightweight sweater. Perfect for unpredictable October weather in Rhinebeck!

Illuminate is a Drea Renee Knits pattern. The pattern is not included in these kits and can be found on Ravelry here or on Andrea's website here.

Knit from the top down in the round (i.e., you can try it on as you go and add length to suit your personal style), Illuminate starts with the collar. The circular yoke is then worked in stranded colorwork (CHART ONLY) until you separate the sleeves, placing them on hold while the body is finished with alternating stripes of wool & cashmere/ silk. The sleeves are then returned to the needle, picking up stitches for the underarm, to create a totally seamless sweater!

At Stars Hollow Yarns, we love to celebrate community, and this year we need as much time together as we can get...regardless of fiber art preference. So we're hosting a (very casual) Rhinebeck KCAL, beginning Saturday, August 21. All are welcome to drop in for some guidance from Laura, and/or just to surround yourself with other fiber lovers. (For complete list of dates, more details, and to register, CLICK HERE.) With any luck, the weather will cooperate and we'll have some quality time on the patio! Check out our Rhinebeck bundle on Ravelry (here) for more project ideas. (All are welcome...if you've already got a project in mind, go for it!)

Sign up for 4 or more KCAL sessions and receive 10% off this kit!
