Yarn options: Emma (Cocoknits Sweater Method)

Knitting Emma* is a great way for newcomers to the Cocoknits Method to try it out. There are three versions to choose from — all are quick-knits with a gauge of 3 stitches to 1” / 2.5 cm. Every version has optional waist shaping for a flattering fit. Available in sizes ranging from S to 3X (700 - 1400 yds / 640 - 1280 m).

We recommend working with a bulky or heavy aran weight yarn — at least the first time you try this method. Remember, you're looking for a gauge of 3 sts per inch. If you've tried the Cocoknits Sweater Method before and would like to try it out in a lighter-weight yarn (fingering or sport weight, linen, cotton, etc), this is a great opportunity to expand your skillset. (We have suggestions for you further down this page.)

You'll want to modify every sweater and top pattern from now to use Julie's method...trust us!
